[Press] WIKITREE signed business agreement with ‘SUCON’, a blockchain company

Social News (CEO Min Byung-kwan), which runs WikiTree, and SUCON (CEO Kim Sung-ho), who developed the public blockchain mainnet “SUWORLD”, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU).

The MOU was held at the WikiTree building in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul on 3rd March. Through MOU, the two companies plan to create a new media model using collective intelligence by incorporating news content into blockchain, a key security technology in the fourth industry.

SUCON is a technology company specializing in fourth industries. It has six patents related to drones and blockchain. In June last year, SUCON developed its own blockchain public mainnet with its own technology and received attention from industries.

“We want to introduce a new concept news content platform based on the SUWORLD blockchain mainnet this year through mutual sharing, not a formal business agreement,” said Kim Sung-ho, CEO of SUCON.

위키트리를 운영하는 (주)소셜뉴스(대표 민병관)와 퍼블릭 블록체인 메인넷 ‘슈월드’를 개발한 슈콘(대표 김성호)이 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다.

MOU는 서울 마포구 상암동 위키트리 사옥에서 3일 진행됐다. 양사는 MOU를 통해 4차산업 핵심 보안기술인 블록체인에 뉴스 콘텐츠를 접목해서 집단지성을 활용한 새로운 언론 모델을 만들어가겠다는 구상이다.

슈콘(주식회사 올체인)은 4차산업 전문 기술기업이다. 드론과 블록체인 관련 특허를 6개 보유하고 있다. 지난해 6월에는 독자 기술로 토종 블록체인 퍼블릭 메인넷을 개발, 업계 주목을 받은 바 있다.

이날 슈콘 김성호 대표는 “형식적인 업무협약이 아니라 상호 실질적인 업무공유를 통해 올해 슈월드 블록체인 메인넷을 기반으로 하는 신개념 뉴스 콘텐츠 플랫폼을 선보이고 싶다”며 기대감을 드러냈다.
